- The above large scales maps were digitally captured at the scale of
1:5,000. All other scales are
derivatives of 1:5,000.

D. Other Geographic Information
Geographic Materials Library within the National Survey
Authority is a central source for reference materials in
helping with many survey activities and mapping
production. The library holds variety of geographic
materials such as, conventional mapping, digital
mapping, aerial photography, survey information, place
names and documentary information.
E. Digital Maps
Digital maps are available at 1:5,000 scale and can be
obtained at a nominal charge to cover resources utilized
by the contributing Ministries. Non contributors will be
charged based on the area of interest and project.

National Survey Authority.
F. Aerial Photography
NSA is a central source for aerial photography archive
of the Sultanate. NSA holds an extensive archive of
aerial photography (black & white) covering the whole of
Sultanate. The photography were taken in different years
ranging from 1960's to recent time and at different
heights. Color photography are also available for
certain areas of the Sultanate.
Issue Policy
Most of the large, medium and small scale mapping,
aerial photography and the topographic mapping produced
by NSA is limited to official use purposes only. The
contractor is required to produce a letter of authority
from the sponsored Ministry addressed to the Head of
National Survey Authority defining the area of interest
and the purpose. Maps and\or aerial photographs will
only be issued after complying with the above
requirement on payment by cash, cheque or Local Purchase
Order (LPO).
